Sorry if this was covered before. How many mags do you need to compete in GSSF?
Two of the three stages require three runs while the plates require four runs. On the M and the plates, you can start with 11 rounds; if you have standard capacity mags (IE ones that hold more than 10 rounds) you can get by with four magazines. Otherwise, you should use another mag as a "stripper" mag to load one in the chamber before you load with a mag of 10 rounds. If you are shooting more than one gun, you should come to the line with enough loaded mags for both guns. The rules "suggest" that if you are shooting three or more guns you should allow another shooter in between your runs after two guns.
As Dan says 5 per gun will make your match more fun and easier. You can do with less but you may well feel pressured as competitors wait for you to reload to finish your stage.
5 is good but don't let the number of mags deter you from coming.
