Had a good friend of mind tell me he heard that Glock send 3 mags with every new gun. He said that the seller takes one and this is why you only get two.

Then turns around and sells the extras.

Seems every Glock I bought was sealed in the case. But Hey. Stranger things have happened.

    Whats the Jury hear?:dunno:

    Red label = 2

    Blue label = 3

At least that's what I've gathered in my limited time here.

The cases with blue labels come with three regular capacity magazines. Red labels come with two regular capacity magazines. White labels contain two neutered magazines for ban states.
IIRC all subcompacts come with two mags.

Some dealers do take the extra magazine, some even take two.
If the price is fair and the dealer is honest about where the mags went I wouldn't have a problem with it. If the dealer lies, find a new dealer.

Compact and full sized Glocks that are intended for law enforcement sales are shipped with three mags, all others are shipped with two.

If a dealer sells you a law enforcement Glock when you aren't entitled to buy it, they could remove the third mag......thing is that it's listed on the box label.

If they are selling LE Glocks at retail type prices, and removing the third mag too, we maybe shouldn't shop there.

Just got my GSSF discount certificate today......
ALL Glock models listed state: TWO (2) magazines per unit.....
    Nowhere is 3 noted.....
As others have said.....SOME who've used the certificates got 3 mags.....
SOME got 2....if YOUR dealer gives you a "blue" label box with 3 mags....
    GREAT! You're lucky!
If your dealer opens the "blue" label box and REMOVES one of the mags....
THAT'S WHAT GSSF SAYS YOU'RE ENTITLED TO!!
Just relax and enjoy the $$$ savings!!

Anything that comes with 10 round or less magazines has a white label. My 27 and 30SF both have white labels and I live in a free state.

During the 10 round magazine limit, the Glocks that came with pre-ban magazinse would be sold with only one magazine, so you know the other magazines were being sold separately.

That's because it is a sub-compact and most departments do not use them as duty weapons.

No, No, No. In late 1994, when the ban took effect, Glock shipped pistols with one pre-ban mag and one 10-round mag to insure more purchasers received one full capacity magazine while the supply lasted. It was to benefit civilian purchasers. When Glock's U.S.A. supply of new pre-ban mags was exhausted, pistols shipped with 2 10-round magazines.

Now, all compact and full sized L.E. Glocks come with three magazines. Pistols destined for commercial sales come with two magazines. The Gen4's coming with 3 mags may be LE pistols being sold commercially. I don't know for sure.

Before that, there were no 10 round magazines. They removed all but one magazine. Early in the ban there wasn't a second 10 round magazine, just one pre-ban magazine.

    ohhh. ok.

Anyone have a breakdown of what the labels mean and so forth as far as what you get and restrictions.

I'm super confused over the labeling
