I got out 2 days of dove in CO. Cold the day before opening seemed to reduce the numbers some, but still good hunting. Teal looks good too, but I don't eat ducks. Grouse next. Pheasant earlier than normal in CO this year.

I got out and did a couple days of elk hunting. I am glad I didn't take anything cause is was so hot. We did manage to see a couple nice bulls though. One was 6X8 and the one was a 6 point. We saw several rag horns and spikes.

But on to birds. We did manage to get a shot at some turkeys. They were at about 60 yards so it was a long shot with a bow but, hey, we got to shoot and that is better than a poke in the eye with a hot stick.
