How do you - install Glock factory Iron Sights?

uh, forgive me for my ignorance but....HOW DO YOU INSTALL THE GLOCK FACTORY IRON SIGHTS such that the same doesn't suddenly fly off at some random instance (while shooting)? Can't seem to find the proper way of "locking" the same like the plastic version where the insertion of the "pin" locks the same.

If you're talking about the front sights, dab a bit of Locktite on the threads. Your girlfriend's (or yours, if you roll that way) nail polish will do in a pinch.
The rear sights are pressed in. You need this tool:

Its about $85 from www.glockworld.com

Disregard all of the following comments about using a screwdriver or punch-- that's how you put yourself on the list for a new slide and sights, after you've destroyed yours trying to be ghetto.

I've done rear sights several times with a hardwood dowel and a rawhide mallet. Right to left out with the grip facing you. Left to right in. Clean the dovetail cut and lightly oil before installing the new one. The plastic one will pop right out with a couple of whacks.
Put the steel sight in the freezer for a couple hours first.

I have installed alot of sights and all were done with a fiberglass dowel and a small rawhide mallet. I have never ruined a set or even marked them up,if your carefull and take your time you will do fine.
Thank you so much for your suggestions. However, my problem revolves more with the steel/iron front sight. Indianamatt, actually tried your idea in the past already and was in vain. seemingly stable at first, the same would actually loosen up after shooting a few hundred rounds (probably caused by the heat of the slide). Isn't there some way to lock the same like the plastic type?
