In another thread it got on the topic of carrying spare mags and other stuff... people listed multiple mags, oc spray, a knife or two, flashlight, and a kitchen sink in addition to the standard wallet, keys, phone setup. My question is how and where do you put all of that? With a wallet, phone, keys, knife my pockets are full. Unless you have a bat belt or parachute pants I am confused.

For me: front right - knife, phone / front left - wallet, keys

This topic could almost be a "sticky", or even an entire sub-forum.

My guess would be belt holsters.

    I typically carry:
    Keys(on a belt loop)
    Knife(right pocket clipped)
    Phone(watch pocket)
    Small light(left pocket)
    Butane lighter(right pocket)
    G19(owb right holster)
    Spare mag(owb left carrier)

Its never given me any issues.

Right side of belt gun, left side of belt spare mag or 2. Right front pocket, keys, wallet, knife. Left front pocket phone. Nothing goes in the pocket with the phone to prevent scratches.

Gun, mags, and light on belt, knives, wallet, phone, keys, and Altoids tin in pockets. Works great.

I hate stuff in my pockets and carry the minimal required (as decided by me) crap in them.

However, my backpack (Tactical Manpurse) is with me constantly when I travel (which is always) and is stuffed with all manner of indispensable manly things.

Well, when you're 350 pounds of pure rotund, you got room on your belt!!!

    I'm NOT 350, so I don't know how either.

I honestly don't know how people do it either.

This past week I have been carrying more than usual, and found that I did okay, till I went to split wood and found my pants trying to fall off my butt!

    This week:

    G30SF IWB
    spare G21 standard capacity mag
    iPhone
    Flashlight
    knife
    wallet
    keys, thumb-drive, change, reading glasses...

But where does it end? A radio in case your cell phone doesn't have reception? A back up radio in case that one fails?

I also think a lot of people neglect physical conditioning as part of being prepared. Both strength and cardio for physical confrontation/retreat.

This post isn't directed at you, just people in general. :wavey:

Personally I carry my cell phone, keys, wallet my CCW and sometimes a spare mag.

Front right pocket has my keys, front left a SOG multitool or a knife sometimes, back right my wallet, chest pocket on my t-shirt my phone, and my LC9 on my right hip with a spare mag in a leatherman case on my left hip. And a spare truck tire in the front of my t-shirt.

Most times I don’t carry an extra mag or light and still have trouble unless my pants has cargo pockets. I just got a nice “tactical bag” (merse) that I use if I’m carrying something extra like my tablet. Then I can put all kinds of manly survival stuff in there, but the G19 stays on the waist.

I silently chuckle at most of the EDC threads when I see the laundry list of what people carry. I could see folks carrying that type of stuff SOMEtimes, but to strap all of that stuff on every-single-day sounds nuts to me. As already pointed out, where does the "it's better to have it and not need it..etc.." end?

I'm a minimalist when it comes to EDC, but have an EDC backpack that goes with me to work and most places, and a lot of the EDC lists I see have me AND my backpack beat. :)

It used to actually bother me and I would mildly troll those threads being an antagonist, but I've since realized that everyone has their own comfort level with regards to preparation. After all, an urban pansy could use similar logic to why I carry a gun at all. To each their own..

The knives change frequently, everything else is very consistent. If my Leatherman Juice S2 doesn't turn up soon, I'm going to need to get a new one, I miss it.
