Can anyone tell me how to stop auto downloads from MSN? It has been running in the background for like 3 hours and is only 47% done. I have dialup and it is killing me... I have looked all over and can't figure out how to stop it. ANY help would be nice.

see if automatic updates are turned ON or OFF in the control panel.

I have mine set to OFF.

How about using Trillian v3.1 for all your IM needs?!?

No spyware, no Auto Downloads, and no BS.

Very nice; my clients don't chat with anything else.

    Haha!

What is the file name that is downloading?

Where is it going to on your system (destination)?

Do what prism said. That may be the problem.

There should be a cancel button in an active window to stop the download.

Is your spyware protection up to date?

    Get SpywareBlaster, Spybot and Adaware.

Press Alt+Ctrl+Delete down at the same time.

Click on Applications, click on what you want stopped, click on End Task.
