How do I send ammo legally through mail to my buddy?
UPS Ground is the way to go.
Make sure you write "ORM-D" on the package.
Or use labels like this:
Also, it must be shipped from a UPS HUB, not store.
Do they provide them, or do I have to bring that?
Whats UPS HUB?
You provide that. Easiest would be just to write "ORM-D" on the package with a permanent marker.
UPS HUB is the staffed customer centers. Just go to UPS.com and search for UPS Customer Center in your area.
UPS or FedEx. It's illegal to send ammo thru the U.S. Mail.
Thanks alot guys!
As far as I know FedEx won't take it.
I just got a FedEx box last Friday with 3 boxes of Fiocchi 9mm NATO ammo. Box had ORM-D on it too.
Negative...I've shipped from the store several times, no problems.
I got chased from two stores. Had to go to the customer service center.
Some UPS stores will take your package, the majority don't want to be bothered, they are franchised by UPS and usually make their own rules. Call before you try to ship ammo from a store.
Make your own Orm-d labels here. just print them out and tape them to your package.
Yes, the one I use is franchised and follows UPS rules, like all others should. If one store is not, it is my opinion that either 1) they don't know the rules 2) scared of handling a box full of ammo, or 3) think there is some kind of illegal activity going on. More than likely, #2, or just plain lazy.
I don't think someone could franchise a Chick-fil-A, and not serve chicken nuggets.
You can set up a account with UPS online and they will pick it up from your house.
