Most hospitals have them and most cities Occupational Therapy centers. If that doesn't work try Voc-Rehab they might be able to recommend someone.

Mine was recommended by my old doc. She sent her nurse there, nurse thought it was a great place. That was my 2nd experience with PT, my first time was from one I got out of the phone book. Good luck.

Typically you are referred to a PT by your general practitioner, or in your case the VA. You don't usually call one up and make an appointment on your own, in fact they usually don't take patients without a referral as proper referrals are required for them to get paid.

I have the 'perscription' from the VA, but the paperwork says I'm on my own as to finding a provider...

    What town?

Premature post as it were..........my wife uses a PT here in Plano who has helped my wife with her back trouble to a degree that is pretty amazing.

Maybe this lady knows someone close to you that she could recommend.

Most larger cities have places called something like "The Spine Center". You'll find plenty of PT's in a place like that. Obviously they should be well versed in back problems. Good luck and here's hoping your back gets better. I've been there, done the dance, rolled on the ball in the Pt's office, all that. There is light at the end of the tunnel usually.

I guarantee you SA sports some top notch PTs. I'll have my wife ask.
