Hey all. I was just curious. How do you, who are LEO, feel about Conceal Carry (for civilians, not Officers)?

I am just curious what you all think.

    -Are you for/against it?
-Feel it should be easier/harder to get a permit?
    -Any other thoughts.

    Thanks!

The same thing we thought two days ago when this question was asked, which coincidentally enough was the same thought we each had five days prior when it was asked. The really odd thing though is that both of those thoughts were in line with our thinking a week prior to that when the question was asked three times. Go figure.

The search option is your friend... it won't bite. Pinky swear and promise!

I searched this forum for the words; 'conceal' 'cch' 'ccw' and did not see a thread pertaining to my question. Is there another keyword I should be looking at?

I really think this illustrates the downfalls of almost every forums "search" feature. The search function looks very specifically at individual words, not even phrases. Get too specific in a search, ya'll find nothing, get too general, you'll return the entire forum.

Wow Whata great question, but Deja Vu or is it JAMBOG.

    As far as opinion.

I like you to carry responsibly
i'm not a fan of open carry by choice been concealing mine for 27 years and it's not that hard and i don't get people calling the cops on me.

Don't open carry of you dress like a tool that is a t shirt that says "I DON'T CALL 911" with a gun pictured or one of the many other colorfull Moronn lube style.

I love CCW and think that citizens need to own as many guns as they can.

(gives me more to confiscate when the emperor commands us to execute Order 66)

In all seriousness, defend yourself, kill the baddie, one less statement for us to take when we write up the report.

I hate CCW, and everything it stands for. That is the honest truth.

I think that law abiding citizens should be able to carry guns without special permits, licenses or limitations. In the world we live in however, I don't get worked up about it. I stop cars all day, sometimes people tell me they are CCW, sometimes the computer does. It's nice to be told, in the even I notice the gun, as it saves a few uncomfortable minutes for everyone.

Largely, I have noticed that CCW types are decent law abiding people. If I learn they are CCW, I like to chat it up a bit, learn what they are carrying, etc. Guess its me being "Trooper Friendly" or something. Part of me likes to hope that if I were in a reenactment of the Tet Offensive out here in BFE, a CCW would help out if I needed it. I have had ranchers come along before and roll out a Winchester to put down deer, or "just cuz that was a big ol boy you was tusslin with there." It can be a little different out here in BFE though. Guns aren't scary, they are just every day tools.

Man without a fine gun is like a carpenter without a hammer.

And I reckon that's about all I have to say about that.
