How are the Ruger 22/45 lite and packlite holding up?

I’ve never been concerned with the longevity of the all steel uppers, but I’m kind of nervous about the longevity of the aluminum receivers of the 22/45 lite, and the packlite since you have to whack the upper receiver with a mallet for disassembly and assembly and aluminum is a lot softer. How have yours held up (assuming you actually clean them)? Thanks.

use a soft mallet/hammer and that will eliminate most of your worries. Wife has a 22/45 racer for SC. Only few months old buy doing well. I'll swap out the internals soon with Volquerson parts. I have a couple TS uppers on MkIIIs with 1000s of rounds and assembly/disassembly and no problems.

Mine has been great, had it for a couple years and put a lot of suppressed rounds through it. No real signs of wear I have seen. Also added the VQ accu kit. Been a great set up I would do it again in a heartbeat. I have also heard that TacSol has great CS.
