Coming soon 1/23 & 1/24, in Houston, is a Gun Show at Reliant held by HGCA.
    http://www.hgca.org/

Is this a good show for Glocks? Anyone ever been?
I can't tell if this show is mostly antique-oriented or both? I heard that either at this show or it could be another, there is a Glock guru as well as many Glocks to select from, but I'm not sure which, so I thought I'd ask about this one.

    Any help appreciated.

Scott, the HGCA will have lots new Glocks. The HGCA is my favorite gun show. The usual new gun retailers will be there in addition to all the collector types.

IMO it's by far the best and largest show in Texas. All of the regular sellers that attend the GRB and Pasadena shows will be there plus additional sellers from all over the country. Plan on spending a few hours, it's that big.

I have never been to that gun show. I might have to go check it out on 1/24.

I found one of the larger dealers there with most of the Glock models had some of the best prices. I had just purchased one online & then saw one at the show for the same price.

Just shop around at the show before dropping your plastic. Go early to avoid the background check line if you don't have a CCL

Thanks for the tip. I have a CHL, so buying is quick.
I bought my G27 at a Gun Show not too long ago and got one with night sights for $500. (Was $448 with standard sights).
I found that all the major dealers were selling within $10 of that and none wanted to haggle.

Leaving to go in an hour or so. Should have a new G32 when I get home. :)
(Assuming they have one with night sites NIB... I can't allow myself to buy one off the table top that's been handled. LOL)

We had a great time at the show last weekend.

The family and I made it out Saturday. I signed the family up for a Texas State Rifle Association membership on the way in.

My plans were to find a Glock 19 in OD green. I only found two. The best priced between them was $469. Directly after purchasing the gun, I ventured over to a vendor selling Glock upgrade parts. I decided on a 3.5 lb. Ghost trigger connector, smooth finish replacement trigger, and an extended slide lock lever. All were installed in a matter of minutes by the gentleman. Next stop, more clips. I bought three additional clips to go with the two included with the gun.

I made it out to PSC Sunday morning and shot with my wife. She shoots a G22 RTF2 and G27. I was very pleased with the new trigger and Ghost connector. Hopefully next month will bring a new match grade Briley barrel and set of competion sights.

Next local gun show will be at Pasadena Convention Center on Feb. 6-7. See you there.

nice! We were both successful at that show!

I was surprised at the lack of Glocks actually. I got the ONLY G32 with night sights at the show. Literally. I checked every shop selling guns, and only SAW had one and it was up on the table. I usually don't like buying the display gun, but made an exception this time. :) Glad I got there early Sat because I'm sure it would be gone by Sat night.

The show itself was still great though. The best I've seen.

There were a bunch of Glock 23s at someone's table for $388. They were used and abused but I bet you could have talked them down. I bought a bunch of Glock stuff but no guns.

Scott where did you go to get your CHL? I'm thinking about going to Jim Pruett's...there a sponsor here and I like their website.

I took my class at Memorial Shooting Center (near Memorial City Mall). It was a good place.

Where is Pruett's shop? I've heard good things... high prices, but good things.
