I'm not sure I'd rather be hit with that. The shattering of a normal glass would reduce the blow vs a solid object.

I've been using shatter proof glasses for years..

    Plastic..

Friggen idiots, must be nice to have no bigger problems then your beer glasses. I'm sure someone here in the US will try to pass a law soon enough.

Officials swore the country would save billions in health care costs by coming up with a glass that doesn't double as a lethal weapon.

    :faint:

If this is actually accurate they've got bigger issues then those glasses.

Yes. How in the heck can England endure near 90,000 bar glass related injuries per year?

Of course it's not for the children.

If it were, they'd have sipper lids.

You know what would save them Billions on health care each year??? Don't pay for it. Make the drunks pay for their own crap. Might cause a few to quit getting so damn drunk that they get into fights cause they can't afford the medical bills...

Nope never been, but I like to partake my fair share, and have known quite a few bonified drunks. I've been called one myself. I will admit to having a few brawls in my day, but maybe there is just a honor code in my little southern college town but you don't hear of many bar fights involving more than fists. Sure there quite a few stories of unfair fights, and the occasional thugs with knives but no mugs or bottles over heads.

Usually, if its just drunks being drunks we tend to just swing until the bouncers show up.:dunno:
