Just got a call from one of my employees. Today was payday. Her question - Why did my paycheck get smaller? My answer, that is the hope and change you voted for.

Remember the promise, no tax increase on folks under $250k per year? Well, that was a load of horse-hockey.

The withholding taxes increased on a lady making $32k per year by 6 bucks per paycheck. I told her to hold on, it's just going to get worse.

She called you about 6 bucks. She has bigger problems than Brock in the White House.
I hope she is a stellar employee.

6 times 52 is $300 bucks. Yeah, to some it matters.

Some don't realize that "small change" adds up. $300 is almost a rent payment for some of us.

My checks are still the same. I would like to see proof of an actual tax increase so I can plaster it all over my facebook and anger the liberals I know!

I thought I heard it said that they haven't actually raised the taxes owed. It's just that they've upped the amount they are withholding each check. It just means you'd either owe less or get a bigger refund next spring. I don't doubt tax increases are coming, though.

I don't even monitor it, my checks are always different depending on how late/early I am and if I take a lunch or not.

My federal tax went up. The base as some in the White House calls them are apparently to simple minded to realize the rich couldn't possible pay for all the "change" by themselves.

The withholding tables changed slightly, the actual tax rate hasn't gone up. Not that big a deal, just change your withholding amount and everything is back to normal.

Just check your pay stub. I make less now (thanks to furlough pay cuts) AND I noticed that my taxes also went up. Oh gee, didn't see that coming did we!?

Several of my co-workers noted an increase in their taxes as well. One of them WAS an Obama supporter. I have been having a lot of fun at his expense.

I have also been having fun rubbing it in my ex's face as she too was and still is an Obama supporter and owns her own business... which as with many other small businesses is seeing the tax increase they were promised they wouldn't see.

Irony is more enjoyable when there is a bit of "pain" associated with it.
