People up in that state are all a-crazy.
I would rent that bus for a trip into NYC.
I agree! She has a opinion but no right to ban it.
NY is not a gun friendly state, and the point is?.
That is like saying you are shocked this story would also pop up in: NJ, IL, or CA.
In GA we got gun store / gun show add on: Marta busses, billboards, and road signs every day.
Post this about a GA resident and you got something to talk about, NY nut job, not much suprise here.
Yeah, and the gun store is paying the city for the ad, giving the city revenue. Helping out.
What I think is even funnier is how much free advertising this lady is giving the gun store.
I'm thinking of buying some stuff from them mail-order just because of her outrage
Yea and I'm sure she *****es about her taxes also!
Guys go easy on her, it's probably been awhile ya know?
About 20 years ago someone opened the first adult video store in this small town. The city tried to close them but the courts found in favor of the store.
Protestors picketed the store for weeks. When the owner was asked what he thought about the protests he responded that it was great because his store is on the front page of the local paper several times a week and that is advertising he couldn't buy.
This community has lots of guns shops and I haven't seen any protests about that.
I think I'm living in the right place.
What I don't understand is how a handful of vocal malcontents can frequently get companies/government agencies to cave so easily? I realize that's not the case in this situation, but why is it so difficult to tell a few whiners to go pound sand?
Those vocal malcontents often have a way of getting their way too. I'm sure I'm not the only one here who knows of ranges that had existed for decades until some yahoo built a house or a housing development somewhere nearby and started complaining about the noise.
A local small business owner is advertising a legal product and contributing to the city coffers in the process. Shocking!
Not a bad idea.
Outdoor Hub mobile, the outdoor information engine
The more noise she does the better it is for the business owner.
Yea, it was all over local talk radio this morning. The radio host even went as far as to say that he felt that this, (pro gun advertisement) contributed to the 75% increase in gun violence from last year. He then continued to spew all kinds of misinformation about the possession of guns, along with the ease and availability of purchasing ammo, (which in this county are both so regulated by red tape that it will take you 13 months to be able to do) that I just couldn't take it anymore and had to turn the station.
For a split second I considered calling the station, but figured it probably wasn't worth my time, he seems like he already knows everything.
But the listeners only hear his version and if you do not make sure the other side is put out, that's all they have to create their internal decisions about where they stand on the issue.
Always call in, write in, respond to the article. Not for the author as generally that's a lost cause, but for the people who will see only that side with no rebuttal.
Point taken, it actually was eating me up pretty good listening to it. Had I been home having coffee at the table, I probably would have. Driving on the way to work, I didn't have the ambition this morning.
I know the feeling. Just keep that in mind whenever you read a rant about something or hear it in a public forum and you have knowledge about the contrary view from the posted one.
Cool! I never heard of that gun store. Next time I'm in Rochester I'll have to check it out.
Thanks for the tip, lady!
Wow, I was expecting the gun store bill board to be a little more offensive.
Something with a picture of a decked outmall ninja, doing his best Nutnfancy "duckface", dual wielding two ARs with the line "Keep the home boys at bay" or something.
Bland logo, Store Name, Two locations, Bla Bla Boring. Most people would have totally ignored it if she didn't bring it to the limelight. I hope the guy gets tons of new business.
