there is nothing like a good BBQ sauce for a summer BBQ and the sauce makes the food. if its bad so is the food and if it is good it enhances the final result of a good BBQ piece of meat or poultry.

    Homemade BBQ Sauce

    BBQ Sauce

    1 C Heinz Ketchup
    1/4 C Lemon Juice
1 T Soy Sauce (low sodium preffered)
    2 T Dark Brown Sugar
    1 T Ground Horseradish
    2 T Grated Onion
    1 T Tabasco Sauce
    2 Clove Garlic, chopped
    1 tsp Salt
    1/2 tsp Pepper
    1/4 tsp Thyme
    1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper

Combine all ingredients in small sauce pan. Bring to a boil and simmer for 20 minutes.

if you like the result make a larger batch and store into a tightly sealed jar or container and store in fridge for a month or so. tastes better as it sits for a day for the flavors have time to come together more thoroughly.

    enjoy....
