Through a series of events my 11 year old son got to shoot a compound bow and showed some skill in doing it, so I got him one for Christmas. A few weeks ago I ordered myself one too, it seems like something we could do together. Anyway I took it out tonight to see how it shot.

The results, I'm off a little to the right but my groups are super tight. :wow:

Chances of ever doing it again is probably about one in a bagillion, but at least I can say I done it.

A "Robin Hood" My huntin buddy did that twice last year, once ate a state shoot out, he didnt have room to get in the 10 ring after the res of us shot, so he destroyed MY arrow. Bastage!

The othe rtime was at the range from 70 yards. At least he tore up his own arrow then.

I did it once when I first started shooting, since I've torn up nocks and such, bit arrows are too expensive to bust up onless they're going thru an elk!!

Looks to be shooting indoors. My guess is less then 15 yards. And that would take a pretty big house.

That's nothing. My groups on the pistol range are so tight, I often cannot even find a hole.

It was my first time out with that bow so I was only shooting at about 15-18 yards. I had to take the target in the house for the pics because it was to dark out side. I was shooting by my backyard flood lights.

I'm sure it's been done many times before at greater distances, but imagine my surprised when I let one fly and heard a crunch instead of thump, and found my arrow sticking out of the end of my other one.

Here's what I was shooting in case anyone's interested.
