It might be a bit of a silly question and this might not be the proper forum, but it does involve my 29SF. Here I go:

I am using a Comp-Tac Mtac holster (IWB) for my G29. The holster itself is very comfortable. The 29 seems to fit nicely. The problem is when I am wearing it, the weight of the combo drags my pants down. The obvious answer would be to make my belt tighter. Unfortunately, the proper tightness to hold my pants up makes it uncomfortable around my waist.

Has anybody had a similar experience and what was your solution? Please, dieting is not an option.

I used to carry a compact 1911, but found it too heavy for carry. It would often make my pants sag on one side. When I do conceal carry, I usually grab my Kahr CW9 because it's light. I haven't tried carrying any of my Glocks concealed, but they work great openly carried.

I can only suggest trying a different holster (although the MTac usually works well) or getting a lighter and thinner gun. Maybe make the Glock your winter carry gun.

I'm personally not a fan of concealed carry for comfort reasons.

Yes ^^^ this exactly, the right belt will make all the difference and you won't have to lasso yourself to get things to hang where they should.

Had the same trouble with a few of my....lets call them less practical belts, when I first started carrying until I stepped up to a more suitable pants fastener.

What type of belt clips are you using? J-hooks will drag your pants down even with a good belt.

Well in the words of he old Cajun chef and commedian Justin Wilson, he stated "he was A professional member of the American Society of Safety Engineers, Justin never quit wearing both a belt and suspenders—there were some things he’d just never leave to chance. ".
