Can someone who owns a G17 & G19 confirm if the G19 will indeed fit in a Safariland 6280 for a G17? I would assume there would just be extra length at the muzzle end and it would work fine. Also, would a 6280 with tac light for a G17 work for a G19? I can't find any retailer who has one in STX Basket Weave for the G19 without waiting approx. 30 days. Seems like the ones for the G17 are more readily available. OMB has one for the G17 in stock for $66.99. My tax refund is burning a hole in my pocket and I haven't even got it yet.
STX Basketweave? Never heard of it, but yeah, I've worn tons of holsters for the G17 but put my G23 in it for the same reason of availability. It just has an extra space on the barrel part.

The 19/23/32 will definitely fit the 6280 intended for the 17/22/31. I am not sure about the light though. I would think that it might not work because of the added rail length. Just call Safariland on Monday. They are very responsive to phone calls.
Actually, I just bought an STX basketweave 6280 holster for my Sig 220. It was about $65 shipped from optics planet. So far, it appears to be much more durable than a standard leather/laminate holster because the kydex is molded into a basketweave pattern, and it still has the suede inside. The CVPI seatbelt has no chance of dorking up the holster. BTW a 19/23 will fit a 17/22 holster.

I managed to put a good shine and some streaks on my STX 6285 with enough jumping in and out of the CVPI over the course of 2 years.
Safariland customer service just confirmed that the G19 with light won't work in the G17 with light holster.
I know for a fact the 19 with light will work in a 6360 for the 17 with light. Two guys at work run this rig.
Hmmm....I'm just going by what the lady said. I would love to pick up the 6280 for sale in the classifieds here, but can't justify dropping $70 for something that might work. I'm pinching every penny since all my gear is coming out of my pocket...gotta love being a reserve.
I don't know about the 6280, but I ran the 6360 for the G17/22 with a G23, in STX High Gloss, for a while and had no issues.
After thinking about it, I'm guessing the 6360 works because of the ALS system locking the gun in at the ejection port. I know that models w/o the light will work. I was more curious about holsters with the light since there is one for sale here in the classifieds.
