I use the VMII for my 1911 and I have a comp tac for my G36. Both are the best IWB holsters I have ever used. I would recommend either. However, I prefer the VMII for for the fact it is all leather and is of better quality. It doesn't work any better or worse it just is better quality.

Thanks for all the replies gentlemen! I ordered myself the comp-tac minotaur. At a decent reduced rate (military discount) and a reputation for great customer service it was the choice for me. Now the wait. Again thanks for the replies guys!

Milt Sparks VMII, Comp-Tac, Crossbreed...all great choices and PERFECT for CCW. I think for comfort...it is a toss-up. I have all three and NEVER a complaint!

Selection of a holster is highly dependent on the carry position. Most of the recommendations in this thread are for holsters that usually work best in the behind-the-hip position. Many of them also carry the handgun is a fairly high position (e.g., Sparks VM-2)

Personally, I prefer IWB appendix concealed-carry. This mode of carry works best with low-ride holsters such as the RM Low Rider (kydex) or the Southern Memphis (leather).

Me too. I have 2 VM2s on order. Will sell one, that will cover the cost of the Occidental AND a Beltman belt.

Will keep either that or the other VM2.

Ordered a 4.25" for my CBOB (Sparks est. will get it Sept-ish) and just ordered a 5" (should get in Jan/Feb) for $125 and will sell it for double that. That's $125+ in the Kobra Carry fund.
