Hogs with a G21?

    Has anyone used a .45 acp on hogs in thick cover? If so could you tell me the results you had and what round you were using. Thanks.

    I've not myself, but I have seen it done with a 1911 a few times. They were handloaded (xtp's I think) and first hog took 2 shots broadside, ran and then fell over. Second was hit in the spine, dropped and took 2 more shots to the head. People do it all the time.

    I whent on a guided hunt about 4 yrs back and a guy used a 1911 and took down a 150lb hog with multiple shots using 185gr GoldenSaber, he got zero expansion.

    It can be done and like with everything, proper load and shot placement = a successfull hunt.
