The link did not work for me. My first impulse is a bit negative.

The link is now good. Agree - don't like to see consolidation.

Very interesting, not sure yet what to think, wish they could have picked a company that made primers or started their own line.

Hodgdon is a good company. They already make some of the Winchester powders under license. I wouldn't be too concerned.

Consolidation all over the place. Dividing up Remington right now also, including the ammo division. And Remington had been consolidating all the great small companies with great products and customer service (Dakota, Barnes and Sierra, Bushmaster, Marlin, etc).

Hodgdon seems to be one of the good ones, though.

I do like Hodgdon, they are innovative and are a forward thinking company. The consolidation aspect on the powder side can effect future pricing due to less competition. Time will tell I guess, unless I missed something I didn't see this one coming.

Never good when one company dominates a market. But... I can always find Hodgdon powders locally and rarely see other brands. Maybe this will change that.

I use various Accurate smokeless powders and would be interested to see if Hodgdon will discontinue some of Accurate powders brands. Perhaps duplication of effort? I don't think for the foreseeable future any real changes will happen... but then again.

Hodgdon did eliminate several IMR powders after taking over and then re-badged others.

They'd better not mess with Accurate No. 9!

    That would be sacrilegious!

Preach it Tater! I've become another AA9 fan and glad I have several #'s.

Seeing as I use a lot of Accurate powders, I'm not sure how I feel about this.

A jug of it showed up with my PV order a couple of weeks ago, so I'm ok for a bit. Although playing with the 9x25, that sucks down 18 grains a pop!

Hodgdon seems to have better distribution channels, at least where I live. Maybe I'll start to see more Ramshot and Accurate powders now. I use and like them both. I'm struggling to find some #9!

I don’t like this. Under the Obama drought Hodgen couldn’t pull it’s head out of it’s own a$$.
Clays was unobtainium. Bet price increases are coming.

I find it odd that, as far as I know, there are no extruded rifle powders made in the US. The Hodgdon "Extreme" line of Australian made powders have seemed to have the sketchiest consistency of availability for like 10 years now.

Of course, Alliant has had some hit-amd-miss supply chain problems with their European sourced extruded powders. I haven't found any Reloder 25 for a while, as an example.
