    Gents,

Just got back from a MP5 full auto cert class. It was a freaking blast. Sorry but I dont have any pics.

This gun is and was my holy grail. To me it is the best sub gun ever invented. Gosh those Germans can engineer a firearm.

We shot about 600 rounds over 8 hours. We had HK techs there showing us how to break down, clean and run the guns.

What a smooth, light shooting rifle.

If you ever get the chance to do this, it will be well worth the time and money.

600 rounds in 8 hours? I thought the MP5 shot a LOT faster than that.

    Sounds pretty awesome.

    Yeah but just a little.

We had 15 shooters in the class, a small shoot house with 6 guns. Classes took up a lot of time.

We were only allowed to full mag dump one mag. That wasnt the point of the class but yes that gun will run about 550 rounds per minute.

Most fun at a range I have ever had.

Did you do that up in St. Joe? I heard Total Range was offering MP5 courses.

Was it the 10mm, or one of those watered down versions?

The full auto mag dump of 10mm is what caused the quake in Chile.

    Yes it was.

They will be offering it again outdoors (soon) when the god forsaken cold *** winter is over.

They will be doing several variations of the this class soon.

Contact Deans Guns, Total Range or SRT in St Joe and they will hook you up they are great guys.

It was not a 10mm. It was the original 9mm MP5 HK 94 A2 style. All others are bastardized.

That is why I went b/c it was a period correct gun that I have wanted to shoot again.

Even though this was a 9mm, it does have some muzzle rise. The 10mm would be a ton worse and no where near as acurrate as this weapon was.

550 RPM? Don't think so. The MP5 runs around 800-900.

Not according to the manual they HK guys gave me. But Germans were never that good at math.

"Was it over when the Germans bombed Peral Harbor"

"Germans? Forget it, he is rolling."

One, one second depress of the trigger fired about 6-8 rounds. Or at least that was the sound made. Empties ejected faster than could be counted.

If it was 6 rounds = 360, 7 rounds = 420 and 8 rounds 640. Now where near 800-900 for this version. Maybe a later one but not the original MP5 HK 94 A2
