Howdy all administrators. I've had email correspondence with a few admins but I was wondering, since I've only been here a month or so, how did glocktalk get started. I presume Eric began all of this. I see him post from time to time. Yo Eric. Please tell us about yourself, what you do, how you came to develop this site, and a little history lesson please. I for one am interested.

    Thanks,
    Rhans405

The easiest way to describre the history of GlockTalk is like this...

First there was the B.G period. That's Before Gribble.

Then there was the A.G. period. That's After Gribble.

I've been told that my presence on this forum has revolutionized the GT experience!

There you have it, that's pretty much everything.

I belive it was in '97 or so, when I first found Glock Talk. It was the "old style" message board software. IIRC, there were 300+ members at that time. When Eric went to the new style (forum style) software, it was a major big deal. :) For a while, members could post on the old board or the new forum.

on or about December 16 1998 Eric changed formats and everyone on the old list had to re-register....

you can look thru the "registered users" , and sort them by total posts or by date joined

here's the registered users page sorted by date showing the oldest registered users (those that registered on 12/16/98, and a couple software glitches showing a 1969 join date)

hmm..... as new members get added the page I am linking to is no longer the oldest members..... it is sort of a moving target so to speak

since I posted this last weekend there has been 390 new members join (13 pages times 30 per page)....

as of right now here is the page with the oldest members
