Japan must pass the experience on to future generations so that the lessons of Pearl Harbor are not forgotten.

    Fixed it for him.:patriot:

Actually it just started for us/US at Pearl Harbor. Nanking, Iwo Jima, Okinawa, Philippines, etc. and the lessons learned there are what made us drop the bomb. The fear of what would happen during an invasion. The history revisionists claim they were ready to surrender without the bomb. They need to go back and study a little harder. After the Emperor announced the surrender they had a military revolt by those that still didn't want to surrender.

    It was war.

Thoughts/prayers for all the fallen, and the brave men who served that we may be here today.

It doesn't matter how we won, only that we won. The future of not only the USA was at stake, but of the entire world.

It amazes me how butt hurt we get over Pearl Harbor today. No, it was not a sneak attack, we ignored the signs.

Besides, even if it was a sneak attack, it's strategic. They bombed a military base, that's better than all the civi targets we bombed during WW2.

All is fair in love and war. Including bombing naval yards and dropping atomic bombs.

I don't remember Japan offering any apologies to Nanking and other Chinese cities, or to the Koreans, Phillippanos, and Taiwanese women who they took as "comfort women" and young men as slave workers to build fortification in far flung Pacific islands that the U.S. would have to eventually recapture as they move towards the Japan home islands.

Hiroshima forgot their own role, and Japan's role, during their war. That city re-invented itself as "woe is me, I'm the victim here." We should send some of our GNG posters there, so they can be among their own kind!

Don't let their postwar "peace memorial" propaganda erase history. We killed far more firebombing Tokyo itself.

It was a sneak attack. We were not at war with our defenses up. There may have been signs that in retrospect, indicates that an attack was coming, but until those signs are collated and analyzed, they mean nothing.

Judging past actions based on future knowledge gained from 60 years of research is known as Historians Folly.

The Japanese were planning a balloon attack on us with ceramic pots full of bubonic plague infected fleas. They had already tested the delivery method with a balloon with an incendiary bomb, killing some people in Oregon. This isn't some crazy conspiracy theory, it's documented fact. The only thing that stopped them was the end of the war ushered in by our A-bombs.

They tested the flea bombs in surrounding towns of their base in China where Unit 731 did its research. Do some reading up on the stuff they did there, it puts Auschwitz to shame.

It sucks that civilians were killed in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, but it really was a case of us or them.

Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda said Japan must pass the experience on to future generations so that the lessons of Hiroshima are not forgotten.

The lesson being, you don't 'frack' with the USA!!

The USA needs to advertise the fact that we are the only joint in the world that have used Weapons of Mass Destruction TWICE without losing sleep.

    The world should remember that.

Germ warfare was just one medical experiment done at 731. A Japanese military MD already wrote about his experiment at 731. It involved testing to see how long a patent could survive surgery without anaesthia. Live Chinese prisoners were cut open without anaesthia to remove spleen, appendix, etc... just to see if they would survive. The scientific purpose of these experiments was to see if it was feasible to treat Japanese soldiers of serious war wounds without using anaesthia.
