In the 0.3x’s. There have been some much higher on blood draws.

I had a blood draw of .5 BAC. I’ll have to find that slip of paper. I had to save a copy because I just couldn’t believe it.

.45. He was such an alcoholic that if he got below a .30 he couldn't function. Not long for this world

.32 A small lady in her mid 50’s. She could hold her liquor to a point. I was dui cop of the year for my county and while administering SFTS I could have sworn she was going to be close to .10

Personally, for a DUI, .31 but I’ve seen multiple go higher.

I took a PI one night that was walking, talking, and fighting when I arrested him and of course passed out in booking. Got him to the hospital at a .34.

Saw one of our regulars come to court drunk. Judge ordered her to take a PBT. Measured out of range, >.40

Found her dead in the bathtub of a cheap motel a few weeks later.

Our policy states anyone over a .30 has to be hospitalized.

I took a guy to the hospital once, his blood draw came back .63. He was walking and talking fine. Not sure if he made it.

That was the policy here several years back, now it’s up in the .50 range.

.40, walking out of a bar on St Patty's day, face planted on the sidewalk and unconscious for a minute or two. Had EMS check him out, went to the hospital.

.43 highest I’ve seen as well, guy was clearly drunk, but I would never have guessed that high. Long term alky.

No medical knowledge but I’m wondering if it’s more their livers are just destroyed and can’t process the alcohol rather than pure massive amounts consumed???

    Not a cop but I handle DUI's.

Back in my APA days, saw a .473 blown on a PBT right in front of me, by someone who was at the magistrate court for their DUI trial LOL.

On the MJ side of things, recently had a blood draw come back showing 215.5 ng/ml of carboxy THC. That's not active or impairing THC, but it does show how much weed that person has been smoking. Was a 61 year old woman, looked completely normal at her license revocation hearing. And weed's still verboten here ... I would expect maybe some LEO's in OR, CO, CA, etc. have seen higher, but in my experience with MJ blood draws, that's a lot of weed.

Not a doc either, but I think you’d see signs of liver failure in that case. The truth is that people can build up an incredible tolerance for alcohol. Then they die.

Flip side. Woman riding a Bicycle runs into a pedestrian. So drunk can't seem to walk or talk. Smells only slightly of alcohol. Tested at .08. Legal at the time was.10. Go figure.

.48 on a suicidal guy who walked and talked like he was completely sober. Claimed he didn't drink any fluids but alcohol...namely Vodka.

I stopped a guy for a registration violation and ended up arresting him for his 14th OVI. His driving was good, but his eyes bounced like crazy while talking to me on the initial approach. He refused everything and bragged how he was well over a .40 but I couldn't prove it. (Shrug) Still convicted, served time, and forfeited the car.
