Anybody heard the news about PTC for high powers? Its been going on
for 2 months na daw, and it cost at a hilarious price of 18k to 20k, di
na noh! mag project gun na lang ako hehehe.
Totoo kaya ang balitang ito? Babalik na kaya ang rifle matches?

Anyway share ko lang pics during our practice with our rifles yesterday.

We practiced Combat style shooting (natataranta ako pag change mag
sa rifle hehehe) and zeroing of our guns. We fired 200 rounds.

    Hi MELBU :)

    Tagal mo'ng nawala, a
    (long time no hear)

AFAICT, there is no enabling law for issuing PTCFOR's for
anything other than handguns --although a 1949 stipulation
allows shotguns for underpopulated areas only.

Then again, the PNP has never let anything so trivial as
the laws of the Republic stand in the way of generating income
    for themselves, heheh.

PTT's (PTFA) on the other hand, are (I hear) once again being
issued for HP rifles, albeit on a (lucrative) case-to-case basis.

OT: BTW, can someone tell me what it's like, vehicle parking-wise
    at M.S. Lacson gun store?

Sana makaputok man lang kahit half nyan...
Ammo ko, limited lang, kaya hangang pa-zero-zero lang -- 20 to 30 rds per range session :( ;Q

Before I left the Philippines in 2004, 5.56mm ammo was quite scarce and cost P18.00/round. Some say it's somewhere between P20.00-P22.00/round nowadays.

I remember in the early 80's to the early 90's that loose WCCs were sold at P0.50 each and the ones in white boxes were sold at P1.00 per round. Some came with free magazines and ammo boxes. We occasionally came across LCs, Poong San (Korea), RPA (government arsenal) and also GE or GF ammo which some said were European. They had a different crimp and the bullet had a more rounded profile than the WCCs. The muzzle blast was also bluish and not that bright compared to the WCC. Dont get ammo with SBMC stampings. They were the worst locally-produced ammo. Some had the right powder charge and some even barely cycled the bolt carrier. Primers also popped out of the case and sometimes lodged in the gas tube, which ruined it.

I've tried the BMP and it was quite okay. They're packed in thin cardboard boxes at thirty rounds each.

Recently, madali lang makahanap 5.56, though a bit pricey.
Twin Pines sells ARMSCOR shiny new rounds for 18/pc.
