All the Gen 5 hype is getting boring and I've already posted my negative thoughts about the pig nose situation still on them. Why hasn't this been addressed? I'm looking at Sig P320's like the military has decided over Glock.

Because it's not an issue whatsoever. I get tired of hearing about the "pig nose". Go buy the Sig already.

And btw, Just because the Army officers are going to be issued the 320, doesn't make the 320 superior, or even special.

Last I checked, Naval special warfare units are carrying the gen 3 19. That does say something.

His thoughts are pretty spot on..

End of the day it's nothing special, nothing impressive, it's just in the direction of evolving and bottom line it just works.. its a Glock and does what a Glock does - works.

I see nothing spectacular about the Gen5 models. They have some nice features, but does not impress me.

What's worse is keeping the crappy plastic sights as default option. From such a reliable gun company, it's a slap in the face to continue with these plastic sights. Yes now you have options, but you're still going to spend a pretty penny on them. A near $600 gun should never include polymer sights.

Could you imagine plastic sights on a Sig P229?? An $800 gun easy with some cheap sights like it's a joke?

Steel sights would be ideal with the same ball in the bucket look.

Anyways I guess I'll continue napping on this because all the hype and reviews are all leading to the same conclusions. Wake me up when it's all over and the craze has died out.

Would I ever buy or own one? Yes... maybe in a year or two after the kinks have been knocked out and it's proven itself reliable like every other Glock. Time only tells the true story. Right now it's the new shiny object in the tool box.

Nobody else has pig nose so yes it is a problem unless you think melting a new gun to make it straight is the normal.

All is good until you snap a laser on the rail and the POI is 20 inches low.

So without watching the video, let me guess: A few descriptive comments, a few personal opinions, and 90% him shooting steel with great success using a new Gen5, right?

    minutes and twenty-five seconds?

Couldn't help but notice after he talked about using the, "recommended", way to drop the slide, Hickock used the slide lock to drop it when he reloaded.

    No judgement, just an observation.

I never worried about it. Does the firearm function in a way I want and is it comfortable to shoot and carry? Meets those requirements and I am happy

I pretty much share his thoughts. Kinda meh. I was in Academy Sports today and saw they have the Gen 4's on sale for $499.99. If I needed a new pistol, that's the route I would take.

My OCD isn't severe enough to care. However, my OCD is severe enough to prevent me from dicking around with the structural integrity of my firearms, especially when they are 100% reliable and perfectly accurate.

So no gun melting here. Ever

Can't you tell by his Avatar? He wants a gun that shoots itself when he drops it so he doesn't have to stop doing chin ups

Because it's beyond stupid. That's why it hasn't been addressed. Can't even believe you brought it up. You even insinuated that the pig nose is why they lost the contract. Fake news
