No--was a grunt, now am a medic. Seems like a nice group here.
My uncle is grunt too. He was stationed in Lousianna about 2-3 yrs ago. He is now stationed in Hawaii. He is also a medic. Respiratory therapist I think.
Pardon my ignorance, but what's a grunt?
I think its a coined word for a US Soldier
as far as i know, grunt is an infantry man. In Australia, we call it digger.... meaning infantry soldier, digging foxholes, tunnels, etc as seen in WW I & II.
please correct me if i'm wrong, but i believe that grunts are nicknames for the marines.
A Grunt is one of the nicer slang for infantry. I carried an M-60 for 4 years darn near around the 3rd rock from the Sun.;f
