I heard that he ran out of fuel or had it turned off.
It didn't look like more than his pride and airplane were hurt.

I tie wrapped my fuel shut-off valve ON. Where I'm based here's nothing past the end of the South runway except trees and the Brazos river.

I've been thinking about mounting the video camera somewhere on the plane for that type of video. Hopefully not for video that interesting though.

Had a nice flight yesterday and I'm going to the airport shortly.
    Retirement is fun. ;f

Been working on short field landings. I can get landed and stopped within 400 feet.
Now I only have 28 degrees of flaps because of the limit of travel of the push pull cables. I think with 35+ degrees of flaps, landing within 200 feet would be possible.

An arresting hook has been suggested but I believe the tail section is a little weak for that.;f

In the hallway - it's on cuz!
I've always wondered if it would be possible to launch an ultralight off the roof of a houseboat by using large bungees as a catapult.

That would be the easy part.
Landing back on the roof would be the tricky part.;)

200 bottle rockets taped to the LE facing backwards?

I think I saw where that was tried on a C130.
It was less than successful as I recall.:)

There must be something to that Road Runner, Coyote thing. The Coyotes are playing hell with the little animals around here but I still seen to see as many Road Runners as always.
