    12. See how big you can make camp fire. HINT: It's not big enough if it won't melt beer bottles.

A lot of us had thousands of posts already when the "Like" button came along. You'd have to subtract all our posts from before the "Like" button to get an accurate ratio for anyone who was here "pre-Likes." So ... you were saying??

Do cans or bottles melt first? I've seen both, but never at the same time.

Smores are are so much better out of microwave...

I think the cans would go first. But the melted shapes of the bottles the next day once they cool are so much nicer. We used to have fire pit parties at our house a few years ago. I had built a big fire pit out of cinder blocks. Pull the pickup in the back yard and use the tailgate for food and condiments. We'd cook hot dogs and smores, have a few beers, have a few more beers and keep stoking that fire. As the drinking progressed so would the fire. At times it would get a little out of control. Cinder blocks would start glowing orange. Coals were so hot you could not put them out even with a hose. Still have some of the really weird shaped melted bottles hanging in the trees. Alcohol, music, and endless wood supply and fire what could possibly go wrong. :flamingdrpep:We did have some fun.

Never seen a cinder block glow before lol. Went car camping this weekend, and was just thinking about trying to make a wood gas fire pit ring. Would put out a lot more heat, and a lot less smoke...

I rather enjoy your threads and posts Von. Keep ‘em coming. It’s a nice change from all the negativity and politics in the world. I know you don’t do it for the post counts. You just post what you feel like posting and that is fine by me .
