I'm know very little about computers so bear with me....I have an image off of the internet that is a .jpeg file....that I need to save as an attachment in either a .doc or .rtf format. (It is for a writing assignment over the image, which will be e-mailed to the professor) is there any way to do this?

    Any info appreciated!

Open Microsoft Word, go to Insert->Picture->From File, insert the JPEG you downloaded, save Word document as 'whatever.doc'.

Open the .jpeg in MS Paint and add the text over it that way.

If you go to the menu "View", do you have "Normal" selected or "Print Layout"? Sometimes Word doesn't show inserted images in "Normal" view. Change to "Print Layout" and see what happens.
