Hi all !

Longtime lurker here. But i am in need of the GT's help. I have a fever. And the only Cure is more Glocks ! I curently own a G23 and Love it. it is my CCW . The best weapon i own handgun wise. But i want another Glock.

I cant decide what to get. I am leaning towards a G30, but i dont own a 9mm ether. Not a fan of the 9mm but willing to give it a shot. Forgive the Pun.I am a fan of the big bore though. As i haven't held a G30 it looks quite small . the G23 fits like a glove.

So any suggestions tips etc is much appreciated.

My suggestion: get the classic Glock....a Gen4 17!

If you like the 23 give the 29 a try. Close in size with more firepower (10mm). Plus if you reload or start to reload the 40 and 10 use the same dies. But if you looking for a range gun find a 24 or 35.

I think a 35 is ur best bet. If u try the 29 a 20 will be next. The 10 addiction is even stronger than the glock addiction:supergrin:

Depends on what you want in the gun.

If you want something cheaper to shoot go with a 9MM. If you wanna make bigger holes, go with the G21/SF or, G30/SF. If you want to stick with 40 S&W, I would suggest a G35. But, if you want something with impressive ballistics go for the 10MM. To be more specific, a G20/SF.

9mm is a good choice, but if you want big bore, the 30 is better for you. I'd look at the sf model unless you have real big hands.

Well the new gun won't be for CCW. Mabey a home/Truck / range weapon. Kinda leaning towards the G 30 . my only concern is the grip size . Is it really that small? I have " normal " hands I guess.

The issue with the G30 is not that it is too small if you have "normal" hands. The issue is the girth of the grip. It is bulkier than the grip of your 23. Also, if you want a .45 and you don't intend to carry it, the G21 (full size version) would be a better choice, if you like the girth of the 21 or 30 grip.

I find that I like the G34 better at the range than the G30 and I like the G26 better to carry than the G30.

I am very comfortable and have piece of mind carrying my G23 . I love that weapon! I have never owned a .45 and am really looking forward to getting one. I guess the best thing to do is to to my LGS and get a feel for all 3 models.

I prefer my G 23 for CCW , but who know I may change my mind with a .45 .
