This summer i am taking my son to Alaska with me. I plan on buying him a Glock 20. I would love to have it engraved with the following.
    ALASKA 2010
    FROM DAD.
do any of you know where i could get it done? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

ive seen a couple of the laser engraving joints that may be able to do a nice job. im not sure how laser would affect the finish though

I'd try Lone Wolf. They engrave their own stuff. I dont see why they couldnt engrave a factory slide. They can also engrave a custom Slide Cover plate, that would be a good route to go because it's only like a $15 part if he ever wants to take it off and make it stock again.

That is a great suggestion and it doesn't screw up the Tennifer treatment.

Your local jewelry store should be able to do it for you.

That zipper guys stuff looks good but kinda deep. LoneWolf or RockYourGlock probably knows just how deep to go to remove the surface finish but not the underlying metal treatment so it wont rust.

You can adjust laser engraving to as deep as you want like .001,.003 ect

No way. I wish my Dad would have done something like that for me.
Get it engraved just the way you first posted. He will keep it forever.

Doing that to the Slide cover is a great idea.... Easily replaceable and it does not mess with the gun in any way.... Every time he points to shoot he'll see that too.

Its been 2 years since we had Zipgraver do the 17 and not the first hint of rust has shown up. His engraving is not real deep

That is an awesome idea! Your son will treasure that weapon forever no matter how the engraving comes out. I would love a G20, and a trip to Alaska is in my future plans. Ever thought about adoption?
