Am looking for Glock to carry in back country just in case of big cat or bear, cannot decide between 10mm or 357sig. Am used to 9mm but am afraid of recoil issues. Suggestions please. Thanks.

The 357 Sig is described by most shooters as pretty violent. The 10mm can also be a handful. I highly recommend you visit a range and shoot a few boxes of both before making a decision.
BTW: I have spent a little time in the woods. Worked as an ID Elk Guide and even put a few critters down. Given the choices, I would opt for the G20 hands down.
