My buddy back in the day had a really sweet shooting 1911. It was a Smith and Wesson Tactical in .40 I believe. It was all stainless steel, and didn't have any mods done to it like a wood grip or anything. I shot that gun like it was an extension of my hand. I would LOVE to own one, but I don't know what model it was. I have lost touch with him so I can't ask him. I want to say he paid around $900 for it, and this was back in ~2000. Any 1911 expert that has any idea which model this could have been? I know for sure he said it was a tactical, and I am 90% sure it was a .40. I want a .45 myself, but I really liked the way this one felt and shot. Thanks.
