    Which is better... a G30SF or a G36

I was able to handle both at a gun show today and I like them both.

Which one is the better pistol ?

Of the two i'd say G30SF, not a big fan of the 36.

Better? One is as good as the other. The G30SF is 10 + 1 and very accurate with a softer felt recoil.
The G36 is easier to conceal, lighter, 1.13" wide and is 6 + 1.
    I carry both.

I'd get the regular G-30. Has the FTRB issues been cleared up on the G-30sf?

    For a CCW?

    G36....mine rocks.

for range... G30 is very accurate, kinda like holding, or carrying a brick imo though.

Failure to return to battery. I say get the 30SF, I figure if you want a single stack slim frame firearm pick up a 1911.

Thanks, from what I have been reading, the FTRB is not a problem on current models.

Buy the 30SF, and extra 21 mags, and mag pouch.

Read the forums, work out the 30SF magazine springs for the first 2 weeks, break it in with at least 500 rounds... assure yourself that its OK, despite the forum. (Remember that the forum is only a small slice of negative experience vs. all the guns sold).

    You will have a G36 butt kicking, gun. (6+1, +7= 1911 :whistling:)

10+1, +13 rounds of .45ACP on your body for CCW is hard to argue with.

    I have a 2008 30SF, that I love (after breaking it in).

I am going to order a 30SF or a Sig Sauer P220 carry tomorrow.
    I'm leaning towards the Sig.

I love my 36 for CC and in fact it is my favorite Glock pistol... but it's your call. The 30 is a splendid firearm so I won't be much help in your decision. :dunno:

I like both, but the Sig is sweeter.

buy glock. not sig ! what makes the sig sweeter ? if i want sweet i'll eat candy. when i want a good dependable defense gun i'll buy glock. get the 30 sf & a candy bar & you'll be happy in the long run.

You are probably right, plus the Sig is bigger than what I want.
    It's between a 30SF or a 36
