I am trying to keep my firearm collection small, but high quality. I am trading my WASR to chip away at a quality AR15, since I got a SAM7. My LGS has 3 options for AR15s to choose from. Daniel Defense, BCM, or CMMG. I know at the end of the day a rifle is a rifle, but I was curious as to know how they compare. Thanks.

Can't go wrong with any of them. I carry a BCM at work

Not a fan of cmmg. Other 2 options are great. Can always build your own with high quality parts.

I don't know much about the others, but my DD is really nice. Their service is top notch too from what I have heard.

I knocked the trigger guard pin out to replace trigger guard and broke the aluminum in the process. I did not tap hard when I did it. Maybe just a bad lower but seriously flawed. I have stayed away since.

I have 2 x Banshees, in in 10mm and one in 45 and I have a full length carbine in 45 ACP. They all run great.

In this order by a slight margin Daniel Defense, BCM, CMMG is a no go for me I have seen Too many out of space guns from them over the years

gas keys out of spec , improper staking tolerance stacking allowing carrier to make contact with lower receiver , muzzles not threaded concentric egged out receiver pins . This is the list I personally have seen.

Any of the 3 you have named are great. Personally I would choose BCM. If not, build your own. Rarely will you find yourself keeping it stock. Everyone changes something. Grip, forgrip, stock, and trigger are the things most changed. I built my own and it runs great. They call them Franken rifles, but I am happy.

I wouldn't hesitate to carry a DD or a BCM. I have been using a middy BCM for around 5 years and have been very happy with it.
