    Good day, BOGs!!!

I've been a member of Glock Talk for more than a month now, but this is my first post. I just want to ask you guys how can I start in a shooting competition? I live in Fairview and it is quite near in Armscor shooting range. I owned two pistols, both 1911. A Norinco enhanced and an Armscor Practical series both a .45 caliber and both single stacks. Can I used these pistols in a competition? I've read that most of the competition guns are in 9mm, .38 super and .40 calibers. And lastly, what are the other equipments necessary in joining a comps.

Forgive me for my "1st time questions", actually this is my first time. Thanks and more power to BOGs!!!

pwedeng pwede yang single stack mo pang competition! all you need are magazines, minimum is 4 or 5, yung 8 rounder mags. Ideal is 6 mags. Bawal yung 10 rounders sa IPSC. You can only load 8+1 sa pistol mo.

Get a holster rig you can afford. JR speed is decent enough and affordable. But invest in a CR Speed or Safariland if you have the cash. Belt ng JR Speed maganda and sturdy na.

Punta ka this weekend sa Armscor. Meron Level 1 match. Although majority of the BoGs will be shooting the Subic Bay Level 2 match this weekend, I'm sure there will be a BoG member at armscor this Sunday.

Last Sunday, we assisted a newbie in his first match at armscor. He finished all stages safe and sound, Now he's hooked!

Thank you mga Sirs!! Unfortunately, may work ako pag weekend nyo. Ang weekend ko is Tuesday and Wednesday, kaya puede lang ako pumutok ng tue n wed lang ;1 ;1 . Baka meron puede magturo sa akin ng basics pag tue n wed? Sana yung libre....bottles of SMB? hehehe. One more question, di ba disadvantage pag .45 cal ang gamit? BTW, kaya pala ganun ang work schedule ko is because I'm working with BPI Express Banking Center.

It would be a disadvantage if you're competing for the prize (trophy), but think first of the competition as "for experience" and most importantly "for FUN". ;f

Bring at least double the number of rounds specified for the level 1 match. Safe na siguro mga 150 rounds, just in case you need to re-shoot some stages. Use reloads, hindi naman glock 'yan gamit mo eh...hehe ;f. Sorry no idea ako sa 45 loads.

thanks doc. the price is reasonable enough for me to get some extra mags for my pistol. the pistol unit i had purchased from Shooters only had 1-mag with it (7 rounder) & a hard plastic case. Better have more spare for range time during my holidays back there.:)

Try armscor range reload, FMJ is Php5.30 for member while Php7.30 for non-member.
