I want t anew TV. Mine isnt very bright and not the best detail, and it looks darker when your at any angle other than facing it straight on at same level. Gotta be flat since im putting it on a beureau. Any suggestions on a nice, bright and detailed tv that doesn't break the bank?

Define "doesn't break the bank". Also, about how big?

How far from the display is the primary seating position?
Do you plan to use the built-in speakers or a surround system?
What source material do you plan to use and in what percentages?
How well lit/bright is the room?
    How important are intenet features/apps?
How important is cabinet style versus picture quality?
How much SD/HD content are you going ot be displaying?
How do you plan on mounting it? Wall/table/stand...?
Do you plan to plug everything into the display or do you have a capable AVR?

    Start with these.

Darn, there goes my rec for the Mits LaserVue. If they have a Best Deal in Town in your area, hit them up. The one here near Phoenix might ship. Saw a 39 inch Samsung led for 375

Wait a month and you can have time to do proper research and get more display for less money.

Wait til Nov. 23rd and you can go stand in line for a Black Friday deal, with the added bonus of the chance of getting trampled!

I bought my display last year on Nov 23. I didn't have to fight crowds or mass hysteria. I also got a very good price on my badass 2011 D7000 series Samsung plasma!
