That was fun to look and read through. We had a neighbor who was a member, he ws a really nice guy, always helped my dad clear the teenagers out of the park at 1 in the morning.
Very cool photos.
You can almost taste the meth!
Compaired to today they look like All American boys and girls.
I have the book "Hells Angels" written by Hunter Tompson. Very interesting read. He thought he had befriended some of them over time until one day some of them for some unknown reason to Tompson beat the hell out of him. On of the last words in his book was "kill em,kill em all".
The Day I was done with Toys for Tots was when they started allowing these outlaw biker gangs to rehab their image in the name of getting some money. They used to come to Lejeune to deliver toys and leave all sorts of drug paraphernalia around base. Real class acts...
Funny the interaction between LE and the HA in the last 45 years. My town had HAs come to town and drink in the bars. My department used to go down there with the biggest knuckledraggers they could call up at home on Friday night and go kick the **** out of as many HAs as they could.
Even for the HAs when one tried to go into an establishment with his colors and they told him he couldn't with his colors the HA called us. He wanted us to force the establishment to let him in. Sorry Charlie. Then he wanted us to write a report for a lawsuit. Sorry Charlie. Then he wanted to file a complaint on the officer. Sgt. came down. Told him the exact same thing. He never did file the complaint. He never did sue or at least he didn't win because they still don't let colors fly in that place.

the big red machine aint no different from any other large group of people. some of em are good and some of em are bad, and most outsiders like to concentrate on the bad.
Cool pics but nothing but a bunch of dirtbags to me....
Nothing cool, intriguing or inspiring about a rag tag bunch of drugged up drunks with a penchant for violence, theft and evil.
You do know we're talking about the Hell's Angels here, right?
They live by 81 is best, f#%* the rest.
That and We ain't having fun 'til they cal 911.
There are a bunch of naive people in this world.
If I were to have to hang out with that loudmouth S. Thompson, I would have beat his old ass up too.
Someone say hells angels?
I think that much of the "evil" is just alot of hype and projected fear spread among middle class suburbanites here on GT.
They're just some blue collar guys that like to ride and have fun. Yes, there are a few bad apples, but overall they cause less problems than most other groups. When I was a bartender I had more problems with college fraternity kids than I did with bikers.
criminal enterprise, not a hobby...
They're organized crime, pure and simple.
My ex brother in law was chief of police in this small community that's only 30 miles from larger metro area, and he told me about a weeks worth of training he received years ago. What these guys do to earn the "badges" they wear on their jackets would turn your stomach, and at the time, made grown cops cry.
Just a bunch of "hobbyists" is a bunch of romantic b.s.
Some guys here have been watching too much TV. Sons of Anarchy ain't Hells Angels. Is a TV show.
Lot of Sportsters in those pics. You know, girl's bike.
