Seen DL a few times, love that band! Rock of ages and pour some sugar on me are my favorite from them.
'80s hair bands 4ever!
Love the eighties too! Lots of memories. Running around, Great music, it’s when MTV was all about music videos! cruising looking for women, drinking while cruising (although I wouldn’t now), the parties...oh the parties, the many motors I’ve blown up and the cracking of the bellhousing on my transmissions in my cars from racing. I wasn’t a roll model for anyone by any means.
The many early morning stops (1-2 am) at Burger King before heading home, walking the malls with friends hoping to see a cutie pie and trying to stay cool, putting all my money into my car to make it look cool , air shocks on my Nova pumped up all the way making the nose of the car only about 6” from the ground, putting 50’s on the back with Cragar rims, headers with duel cherries etc.
Switching gears now.... still going crappie fishing in the pre dawn hours until around 10:00 am with my grandpa, loved the early morning squirrel and rabbit hunts just walking the tracks with a .22 hoping to see one, sleeping in on Saturday mornings if I didn’t have to work.
Now the best part came along in the mid to late 80’s when my son and daughter was born. Love them to death!
There’s too much more to type so I won’t bore you all with it but damn, sometimes I wish I could go back.
It is alive and well in South America. They are usually a decade or so behind. It made an interesting portrait in Bolivia. Two military/immigration guys walking into the fading sunset so close they are nearly holding hands. The Taxi to the airport was blaring, "Girls just want to have fun."
80’s was good times!
Weird Al covering Billy Idol. It doesn’t get more 80’s than that
Went to a "Hairball" concert just last night.
They are a cover band that puts on elaborate 80s shows.
The clothes changes, voices are spot on and everything.
She was so HAWT!!!
And who could forget these world-class performers...
