image.jpeg Well I have been waiting for a few months for the Dunkin Donuts less than half a block from me. Well today I biked to a McDonalds to get some chicken and apple pie(Unusual for me, I usually cook 90% of the time) because I was running late and didn't want to cook supper because of the MLB playoff(Astros face elimination) starting at 5pm pacific. It was 4:30pm. So Dunkin Donuts just a hundred feet away. I noticed a whole bunch of balloons and a Grand Opening sign, finally my wait was over. I went for a reconisence mission to find store hours and see varieties of donuts but didn't buy because I don't eat donuts in the afternoon. Ahhh... But tomorrow is another day. Say all the negatives you want and sure many non-franchise local donut places have great donuts, but DDs are very good as far as I'm concerned and they have so very many varieties. Later.

Really like their coffee and apple strudels. Their donuts are not for a Krispy Kreme guy

I never ate a donut that I didn't like -- especially a Dunkin Donut. Enjoy, comrade!

Amen brother! I grew up on donuts in the late 50s in Rockford, Illinois. There was a Swedish Bakery less than a minute away walking not far from our back door. Their specialty was Wedding Cakes, but their true moneymaker was their absolute scrumptious donuts. Me and my sis would make 2 trips. First to get our parents those carmely things with the nuts on top as they were still warm when we handed over to our parents. On the second trip, perfectly timed maybe 10 min later, we picked up maybe 5 Chocolate Longjohns for ourselves. They were put on a cardboard platter and still so hot the whole bunch of chocolate was dripping off their sides and into a panel of three rings maybe half and inch in depth, perfect to put your index finger in and into your mouth. Ahhh... Those were the days. Sayonara.

Great coffee and their donuts are ok. Grew up with DD in New England. Don't live there anymore but make it a point to stop and get some coffee when I see one. Hated it when they stopped making them fresh about 25 years ago and started trucking them in from a distribution center. Now when they are out of donuts that's it for the day. They used to be much better.

They don't even make them in the stores anymore.

I picture one of those container ships. Each container packed with a different type of donut.

When it comes to doughnuts, if it's not krispy kreme, I don't eat it.

I like donuts but I'm allergic to them.
They make my body swell up.

Well as my dear ole mom would say, "The proof is in the pudding". So I will make my final judgement after I taste them. However I'm pretty sure that I'm going to be a pretty frequent customer. Then again it's like my mom said. Later.

Ain't got none in Montana. Donut stores don't seem to last too long here.
There's a Krispi Kreme in MISSOULA and I only go to Missoula maybe every 60 or 90 days or so.

There's "Store Donuts" which are pretty putrid.

    EDIT- spelling

Yeah brother but you at least live in "Big Sky" Country and the western half of the state is "God's Gift", the "Sleeping Giant" makes that statement just by itself. Do you remember a bar/saloon just outside of Livingston called the "Old Saloon"? I was visiting from Illinois and had a friend who had relocated for carpentry work. Anyway we stopped by the "Old Saloon" maybe late summer of 1977. Here's a picture of us in front of the saloon. Later.

Being a born "New Englander" I'm supposed to love Dunkin Donuts, but when I had my first Kripy Kreme when I was in the Navy stationed in Charleston, this yankee went full rebel.

    Dunkin is just OK.
But I have a local place that makes maple bacon donuts that will make you forget that “dunkin” ever had donut attached to their name.
