I bet you 10/1 that it doesn't happen within 5 years and 2/1 in 10... After that who knows, but silly people make those types of rumors since they don't like the round. I don't like .357sig but I just don't buy a pistol chambered in one instead of bad mouthing it

And no they won't fit a G19 holster with a G21 wide tapered slide... Try a search and you'll have practically any GAP related question answered

Don't I wish. The .45 GAP is a great round. Most people who bad mouth it have never shot it or just plain don't know what they are talking about. If you don't like it ----- fine, that is your right but that doesn't mean is worthless. Heck I am not a FORD fan but that don't mean they are no good. Right Rusty????;)

My guess is that Glock will carry the GAP for 5 to 10 years minimum because it takes time to build up the customers. That is, unless you hit the sweet spot like the .40 did.

Didn't it take 6 years for the 45ACP to catch on? It was created in 1905 but didn't really get popular until the 1911 model came out and the military adopted it. That's a long time.

Hey, read the current Glock Annual for thise year, and read about what Mas Ayoob has to say about the .45 GAP. I found what he had to say informative.

I heard that not only was the .45GAP going to be discontinued, but anyone that bought a G37/G38/G39 would be beaten severely anytime they showed up at their local to buy GAP ammo.

GAP Reloaders are to be burned out of their homes.

There is even talk of chaining GAP owners together naked and parading them in front of 1911 owners while apologizing to the .45in caliber gods...

We're in for it now, I'm afraid. All because Gaston wanted his name on a cartridge and chose to answer the question no one asked...

    Damn.

When I recertified with Glock last October Mike Blount stated that the GAP pistols just were not selling in any measurable numbers, to which I stated I had all 3 models. The last company to discontinue the GAP will be Glock and I doubt they will ever discontinue it, at least for a long time like 2016 at the soonest. I love rumors.

    Don't dial 911 - grab a 1911
I always love it when the "answer to a question no one asked" dumba** statement comes out. And exactly what "question" was asked when the 40sw came out? Or how about the 10mm or the 357sig? People need to get over their fear that the GAP is intended somehow to replace the acp. For me, each has it's place depending on the platform. When I grab a 1911, you can bet it will be a 45acp. When I want a Glock, the G37 does what I want in a very comfortable package. I don't expect the GAP will ever "set the world on fire", but I bet it sticks around for a long time. BTW, as far as Gaston wanting his name on his on caliber, don't you kind of think having your name on one of the best selling, most recognized pistols in the world would be enough to satisfy any "ego issues" you seem to think inspired the GAP? Just my two cents. Good luck.

Hey, I was just kidding, Man.

You don't have to sell the GAP to me.

    I've a G37, and I'm in the market for a G38 to replace my G23.

I would argue that the ACP took over 50 years to become even moderately popular (in use by civilians) and that's pretty much due to Jeff Cooper's influence. Most folks carried 38 revolvers for self defense until the wonder nines came out.
