Recycled, or yet another new one?

I heard from a fairly good source that the ammo mfg's are going to put a substantial increase on prices in the next 2 weeks.

I found some Remington .45 FMJs at Dick's Sporting goods tonight for $19.99 for a box of 50. As pathetic as that sounds, it's the cheapest I've seen it since the election.

I think copper hit an all time high today (or was it a 52 week high?) I don't follow this market very close - but $3.50 a pound can't be good for ammo prices.

I just talked to Sam Walton via Ouija board and he said Wal Mart will NOT raise ammo prices until after President's Day.
    YMMV

Me, too. I'm thinking of getting a dedicated press for the small pistol primer sizes.

    What would be considered substantial?

I have already seen ammo prices jump in my area.

I picked up some Remmington .40 S&W at Dicks in Wichita for 19.99 for 50. I thought that was a decent price, but I'm new at this also.

I'm sure glad somebody has a reliable source rather than relying on Internet scuttlebutt.

I heard that spreading rumors that stem from a "fairly good source" over the internet is how the last gun panic got started.

    I have some advice.

Don't ever expect anything to get any less expensive.

I haven't seen cell phones, cell service, or broadband get any less expensive.

As for the rest, I have never expected anything that I wanted to become less expensive tomorrow. Also, less valuable doesn't mean less expensive.

    ...once the technology has matured/stabilized.

I agree, as modified, above. If you plan on stuff going up in price, the disappointment when it doesn't is fairly easy to deal with.
