headphons jack

    need help i just got my laptop headphones working could put in ext. speakers but i am new to windows 7 and shut off ext.speaker jack any help would be very helpful. Thanks,Dennis:cool:

    I'm trying to get my external speakers to work again. Is there something like a box i unchecked?

    Not using Win 7 but should be same....

    Right click on volume icon in task bar>adjust audio properties>advanced> look to make sure you have not muted them.

    typically jacking in headphones will disable the external speakers... Have you tried removing the headphones from the headphone jack yet?

    Just thinkin...
