Back in the day with Windows 98 you could just move a HD from one PC to another, and Windows will pick up on all of the new hardware. You’ll have to install all of the new drivers, but the move was easy. With XP, it’s a little different. If I try this, I will get a Blue Screen of Death before Windows loads. I usually just perform a repair installation, install the new drivers, and everything will work. I was wondering if anybody else has any other workarounds.

I've always just moved the hard drive, did a repair install, and it was good to go.
