    Hey guys,

Any recommendations as to where I can receive high-altitude training (resulting in an endorsement) AND get some time in a hyperbaric chamber to see how goofy I get with hypoxia? Just tryin' to get all the boxes checked and learn something new over spring break.

    Thanks!
    J.

CAMI, the aeromedical branch of the FAA in Oklahoma City has a chamber and gives classes and chamber rides on a regular basis. I am not sure of cost or availability of classes, but you can contact them to find out. Unfortunately, I don't have a web site or contact number handy, but you can probably find it through a search.

I haven't been in a chamber since Air Force pilot training in the '60's. The hypoxia demo is good as you find out what your indivudual symptoms of hypoxia are like and hopefully can recognize the onset of oxygen deprivation at an early stage. The classroom training is very informative and interesting also.
