    A "hurricane simulator"....

One of our local malls has one. Curious, I just had to investigate this oddity of modern wonder. What you have is a phone booth sized chamber that you enter for the grand price of 4 bucks....and a fan comes on....

Yeah, a @#$% fan comes on. For three bucks I'll give you a ride around the block in my car with the windows down.

Not being satisfied with just discovering the mechanical nature of this cash eating anomaly, I stood vigil to see if anyone would feed it. Over the course of about 45 minutes that I will never get back, a wide array of people on a profitably regular basis all stepped up to the plate to say "Yes, I will exchange money to stand in a windy booth"

    I'll be damned....

And to top it off, you chose a path in LE over a lucrative and dynamic career in entertainment vending.

You can sell anything to people. Idiots used to buy pet rocks for crying out loud.

We have one of those at the local mall here. I didn't watch as long as you did but I saw several people get in it. Oddly enough it is right outside a hair shop. I thought it might come in handy for people leaving to help get the loose hair off.

We have one of those in the local mall. I admit I was curious at first but quickly thought that there must be better ways to spend a few bucks. FWIW, the sign said that the "wind" gets up to 78 mph. I think we had that this winter, and for free!

Yeah...I'd be apt to try it out if the wind was in the 175-200mph range. I'm not paying to feel something I experience every time I ride my motorcycle.

175-200 MPH is terminal velocity and then some. You can do such a thing in a vertical wind tunnel. Such as the Skyventure tunnels.
