I want to start CCW'ing my G26 more often, but need some opinions. I have a RocketMan IWB kydex holster that I like, but it sits a little low. I also like a slim profile holster, so the C-TAC and equivalents are out. I prefer OWB since the draw position (3 o'clock) is much more comfortable than behind the hip. I purchased a Kramer OWB, and while nice, it doesn't sit as close to my body as I would like - even when cranked down with my beltman belt. Are there other OWB holsters that hug tighter? Or should I just bite the bullet and pick up a quality IWB (SSII or equivalent)?

Thanks! :wavey:

I use a Fobus Evolution paddle holster to carry my G26 most of the time;occasionaly I pocket carry in a Desantis Nemesis. IMO a paddle holster holds your piece closer to the body. The paddle keeps the holster from leaning out away from your body.

The paddle holsters stick out too far from my body for concealment.

While my RM IWB kydex can be worn at 3, it sits a little low for me to get a full grip should I ever need to pull the weapon.

The Glock holster will be the closest. I doubt you will be able to use your Beltman belt with it though because the belt slots are too narrow. I also don't like the fact that the muzzle isn't completely covered even with a G26.

I've pretty much given up on OWB for concealed carry. It's not just the bulge out it's the length down.... you really need a long covering garment.

The Blade-tech Nano is a very slim IWB holster but it's still not quite as comfortable as my MTAC. I've been thinking of trying some High Noon holsters but man this is getting expensive!

I have several Kramer Belt Scabbards, and all hold their respective guns very tight to my side. I'm surprised you are having problems. Maybe it's the short barreled, heavy handled G26 pulling it away from your body?

The Glock Sport Combat holster has little tabs in the belt loops that you can cut out to fit your belt, or adjust cant. I use one quite often, with a 1 1/2" sturdy leather belt.

I also have one of these that I have been using under a coat quite a bit, and they conceal well.

They have both a paddle and a belt loop attachement which are interchangeable. This thing is marked down cheap for close-out, however I find it to be of high quality. This one does indeed hold the pistol close to your body.

I also have a leather OWB holster that I got from Little Bear Holsters, and it keeps the pistol close and snug as well.

is the kramer made in such a way that the holster can go between the belt and the pants? I can tuck my IWB in tight this way and sometimes I do. I turn the IWB into an OWB this way on occasion. It holds just as tight and conceals as well as wearing it IWB. Just make sure to get the belt real tight. A belt around the holster pulls it in tighter than under the holster. also have you tried AIWB... super fast draw and comfortable as can be with something like the G26 and a thin holster. I carry strong side at 3 under my suit while working and AIWB all other times.

Does anyone make a tuckable for the G26? I use a tuckable for my Taurus 709 Slim and it does a great job for CC. I use a Galco Summer Comfort for IWB for my G26, but I do not like it. My belt may be part of the problem (too narrow), but it lets the weapon move about too much for my preference.

I normally use a Blackhawk Serpa and carry under my sport coat. This holster works great! Easy draw, quick access, good security. It just does not conceal unless I wear the sport coat. Thus, I would like a tuckable. Any suggestions?

Be sure to pull the belt tight. If you have the belt just snug, the holster will shift. I often believe that many folks holster issues come from not having a good belt or wearing it tight enough. I can mexican carry my SIG or Glock, and with a tight belt it does not move and I can even dive onto the floor and it will not come out of the waist. So, tighten the belt up a notch. And yes they make a tuckable holster for the G26. Lots of companies do. Still may shift if you keep the belt too loose.

Why spend more money for a holster for the sake of having an expensive holster? I can't imagine another OWB holster functioning better as a conceal OWB then the glock combat holster. Its a quality holster. Why spend more money?

Thanks for all the replies so far. I don't necessarily have to have something expensive, it's just at first glance the Glock holster doesn't look like much. After watching a youtube vid though, it looks like it might even work with some thin 5.11 belts. I might have to try one. Basically I was trying to find a nice quality leather OWB that held tighter than the Kramer. The Kramer is very stiff, especially the wings. Squeaks a lot and doesn't flex or hug much.

Kramer holsters are superb in design and craftsmanship and are about as good as a holster can be. All of mine hold very close to the body. Are you new to CCW? Try moving it back to 4:00. I can conceal a full size service pistol easily under a loose t-shirt with a Kramer belt scabbard or RGrizzle "Countryboy" holster. Concealment is an art.

Take a look at www.rgrizzleleather.com

Great holsters at a great price. Bill
