I agree with the consensus that a police officer in every classroom is not practical and asking the pacifist hippie socialist teachers to defned anything other than abortion rights is even less so.

Why not have each child bring their dog to school?
Bad guy shows up intent on murderous carnage and 20 canines dedicated to protecting their masters chew the evil galoot up.

Cost of the program, maybe 50 pounds of Purina Dog Chow per day.

I can already hear the argument, but keep in mind, when I went to elementary school, a lad's dog went with him and sat outside until school was over and walked us home. A lot of dogs were without, children weresafe within.

I won't even bring up the danger to the kids, I'll just say dogs hate each other. It would be a disaster.

Some dogs hate each other and would fight with each other, some dogs wouldn't attack someone who was trying to hurt the kids, there would be a ton of fecal matter everywhere (who is going to clean that up?), there would be a lot of distracting barking. Where would they keep the dogs? Would the kids bring the dogs into their classrooms? What if they make messes in the classroom or in the hallways? What if they're not well trained and don't stay quiet during class? What if they attack the wrong person?

Way, way, way too many variables and chances for something to go wrong.

Yeah but you can't compare going to school in a one room log cabin with 5 other students with today's schools with several hundred students.

And who is going to pay for it all? Because you even suggest that taxes pay for it, and you'll get at least half a dozen GT people pissing and moaning about how they would never want to pay to train someone else's dog. Those people should be able to pay for it themselves. :tongueout:

I confess that I embellished the tale.
We actually brought our saber-tooth tigers to class.
One kid used to bring his giant, three-toed sloth. He was always late.

We might could have all of the jailed lawyers put in some time doing honest labor.

Drug dealers and welfare cheats are bad enough who would want lawyers around their kids?

    Here kitty kitty!

Few people have the time nor the talent to effectively train a handsom beast the necessary skills of obiendent protection.

Notice the strength of the hit, the hadnsome, powerful beast dives into the bite, transferring the full force of his strength and body weight into the bite, taking his entire body off the ground and uses it for enegery transference -

An excellent example of an unskilled trainer - notice the incorrect position of the sleeve in the escape bite, the hand should be placed on the hip providing an effective target for the animal. Even with the crappy helper work, the animal effectively targeted the incorrectly position sleeve. Don't try this at home folks, crappy helper work is difficult to overcome without a driven, motivated, and genetically superior beast.
